Ghost Blogger? I think NOT!

Okay, so I made a post yesterday and got a message saying that it seemed I might be a ghost blogger or some such name and that it had to verify that I was real (type the numbers you see into the box). Meanwhile, my whole post from yesterday is gone.

To the left here is one of my Spring photos from my collection. A Redbud in bloom. Spring came late to Texas this year - not until mid April did we see this sight. But it was worth the wait. I have a few others but will share those on another day.

So I promised a new picture of my favorite little Q-T-Pie so let me find on for you!

So is he a doll baby or what??? This picture makes me think of the song, "You spin me right round, baby, right round like a record baby...." You know the one. Anyway, Chandler spun while he was learning to crawl. Fun stuff, I'm telling you.

Charlie is also getting big and just finished his first round of Soccer. He scored two goals during this game!

That's all for tonight folks! I've been doing a lot of scrapping, but not much picture taking of the album. I need to do that, but not sure when I will have the time.

This is bar none, the cutest thing I have made in a long time. The file was created by one of the ladies in my swap group and I cut it this morning, then pieced on of them together.

Anyhow the lady that made it has an Etsy Site and if I can get a link, I will provide it for you. Here it is: She makes Paper Piecing Files:

Giraffes have a long history with me and also with a couple of the grandkids. So when I saw this, I had to have it!

As always, I am working on albums, etc. and have much to do right now. Have a great week and make it a good one.

Well, I hope my mother gets this card before she sees it on my blog. I sent it this morning along with another card that was for a "Get Well Soon" Card.

This is a cutter file by Chris Durnan of Visual Designs by Chris. I've had to give up coffee for the most part, but I drink it for the week that she is here visiting every year and those are the best cups of coffee!

My Mom - well for any mom, she is pretty amazing. At an age where she is collecting a bit of social security, she is also still working. Probably a couple more years at least. So she visits one week a year usually. I am hoping she will spend winters in Texas after she retires. She hates the cold. It gets cold here, but not like in Kansas! And it doesn't last nearly as long plus is it not uncommon to have an 80 degree day in January or February although this year has been wild and wacky for weather. We've already had our first tornado warning here in our town, but in March, we got two snowfalls. UGH! Anyhow, I called mom the other day to chat and see how she was because she went home sick last Friday. This was Monday that I spoke with her. She could hardly speak because she could not get her breath! This struck fear into my heart in an instant and she was just on the verge of tears because she felt so bad. This is NOT my mother's typical behavior at all. So I called a couple of siblings and couldn't get a hold of anyone, but she did make an appointment to go back and see the doctor yesterday. My worst fears were confirmed - she has walking pneumonia. Thought she would hop up and go back to work today - NOT! Thank goodness common sense prevailed and she did not go in. She needs to stay in bed. I know this because until four years ago yesterday, I smoked. I had attempted to quit numerous times over the course of the years, but never with success. This time I did it, so it has been 4 years now. But I used to get pneumonia every single year! Haven't had that for a while now. Thank goodness.

That is all for today, but I hope my mom gets well very soon!

Floral Heaven!

Picture this, which I know you can since I provided one (*Ü*), this delicate little flower by Jenette Carson of Butterfly Designs, with some fun elements for spring, Mother's Day, and all those types of layouts. I've had this paper pack for about a year now, and was excited to make something with a WishBlade file that matched so well. In fact, when I started, I did not know how well it really would go. The first one of these I did I chalked, but I love the crispness of the Colonial White against the pale Olive hued paper.

I used Jan's (of Sam & Hailey Designs) Paper Blossoms file again, and I love how quick and easy those flowers cut when you need just a few. As always, the Paper Threads Links are on the left hand menu bar and I just put them there because I like the store and Michelle's awesome customer service, not to mention the designer's are also awesome.

Do yourself a favor with this file though, and read the instructions that Jenette provided with it. Cut twice!!! It is a highly detailed item, so you really need to do so. I have another file from another of the designer's I work with tomorrow, so I can hopefully post a new scan in a few days.

Make it a great day!

More Wishblade fun!

So, this was a really fun file to do for Chris's Design Team. I love her stuff and really enjoy me time on her team. This file cut very nicely! I made this for some pictures of Magical Moments with Charlie and his papa. They are pretty good buddies. We miss Charlie and Chandler a lot since they have so many family activities. Charlie is playing soccer now and having practice a couple of times a week. Next week is Spring Break, so he is going to a Soccer Camp for a couple of days. Since this is his first ever team sport since he was about 4, he doesn't really get the concept of a team sport, so the clinic should help. He gets better with each practice and each game.
Poor family though - their tiny little miniature schnauzer got hit by a car last weekend and died. Charlie didn't really understand that for a minute so he kind of gave his mama a funny look and then he realized it meant that Molly wasn't coming home again. That's a tough lesson at any age, but especially when you are barely 7.
Have a great weekend everyone!
